Do you have access to the radio's owners manual? I'm sure the info you need is there.

No clue how many "steps" are in your curve, but 5 is common, and you might try something like 10-20-30-60-100 to start. There's been a ton written/debated on this, but I get how that might be hard to find. Holler if you need more help.

What is it about the present settings that you desire to be different ? Another persons radio settings will act totally different on your plane if the mechanical linkage isn't set up exactly the same for both.

Yup, you're right. I was assuming the throttle linkage had been set up in a linear fashion, like you would a control surface. Should have mentioned that maybe.

Would like the throttle to have a more linear feel on landing it is difficult to find the sweet spot so to speak ,have read that once the butterfly has gone beyond 60% there is little increase in power going to full stick does very little, I fly electric mostly maybe that is my problem thank you for your reply cheers

Yes have a manual but like most manuals it does not explain much it assumes you are an expert thank you for your reply

It's trial and error to get the throttle response you want. With any engine, I start by setting the RPM with a tacho. 1/4 throttle = 1/4 top RPM, 1/2 throttle = 1/2 top RPM etc and then fine tune from there.

The first thing I've done with my GT33 is to change the throttle arm to one that is 1" long. This a simple length of 1/16" phenolic material that I make myself but any aftermarket aluminum will work great. Then I move the spring to the larger opening to reduce the amount of tension.

I use an "S" curve on throttle where the first 25% stick movement results in about 10% throttle butterfly opening. Then the next 25% stick movement results in about 15% throttle opening. The next 25% results in about 15-20% throttle opening and the last 25% results in the final 50-55%. Note the last 50% buys maybe 1K to 1.5 k rpm. I typically fly at 1/2 to 5/8ths stick movement and practically don't use full stick. Works pretty well like that. My full throttle revs are about 7.4K where half throttle is about 5.8-6K revs.

Walbros are notoriously non-linear. Wish OS would offer a carb similar to the one on their 15cc. Much more linear, barrel type. Then again I wish they would offer their GT33 in rear exhaust

+1 to this method, it is what I use.

OP are you asking about how to use the radio programming itself? If so in program mix do a throttle to throttle mix set each point with the stick in that position and the tach rpm that you want for all the points.
