Default Fuji 64 cuts out in midrange

I have a Fuji 64 on magneto that cuts out in the midrange. Starts easily, idles great, good top end, but it cuts out (badly) in the midrange.
New tank, fuel lines, clunk, spark plug, spark plug gapped to specs., magneto gapped to specs., cleaned the screen in the carb., balanced prop.
What's the fix, you experts out there?

Well, it may be the carb has a flat spot in the middle. Try running it more rich with the low speed needle and see if that helps you out. I had run into that with various Walbro carbs before. Dialing in the low speed to be more rich helped it out a lot. It wasn't perfect, but it helped.
