Sounds like the op has his mind made up, so why is he wasting our time?

Some might wonder what comments like that might add to the general knowledge base as well?

Simply asked a question about retuning engine after changing oil ratios and how it affects the engine tune.

If I am wasting your time, you are free to ignore the thread.

Your answer is as already posted by others . . .

Fly the plane and Re-tune the engine as necessary for it to run correctly.

There are many variables and one of the main ones is the temperature. The other is that with less oil your mixture will typically run richer. Cold air makes the engine leaner

Re-tune for perfection.

I am glad this thread came up again, never thought I would use any engine other then glow, started to see how well the gas engines where doing and jump in with both feet, all my new builds will be getting them, so have been following this thread with both ears open.

This is my first gas engine too, and I am trying to learn everything I can about them and by getting responses from others, it fills the holes in for me. Learning about this stuff is fun for me and appreciate everybody's feedback.

I too am converting to all gas from nitro.
