Hobby King 52cc intake
I have aquired a #TGY52 Hobby King gas engine and would like a different intake for it. The factory intake has the throttle linkage in such a place that I will have to cut more holes in my cowl just to make the throttle linkage work.
I have tried using Bell Cranks to make it work but whoever built this engine for HK did not stop to think about the little things like a throttle hook up that would keep the plane neat & tidy.
Thanks for any help you can give!

Using that little throttle arm is your real problem.
If you don't want to remove it then you can use it as a mounting point for an L bracket right on top of it. Me I would just remove the little arm and replace it with another throttle arm that is (at half throttle ) perpendicular to the fuse toward the engine.
The first engine like this that I setup I modified a landing gear control arm to the throttle shaft by removing that little arm. Some arms are swagged on but your picture shows your is just screwed. Pretty easy removal.
You want an arm at least 1" long for resolution of your throttle anyway.
Hope this makes sense.
