G38 crankshaft work on the ZP38?
Horizon has not answered this now I ask the REAL experts? Other than the bolt on hub, any different? I don't have a standard G38 to compare it to and they have discontinued the ZP38 and ZP62. Paul

Zenoah was bought by Husqvarna several years ago. Most of the chainsaw/weedeater items have been changed over to other brand names.
I have a G62 with a Husqvarna cylinder on it. I do know that the crankshafts on the Zenoah G62PU and the Zenoah/Redmax 6200 chainsaw have different shapes on the ends. The G62PU crank was reversible end to end as both ends are the same.
Zenoah had a unique cylinder/piston design called "Strato Charged" that was favorable to EPA emission standards. Husqvarna bought Zenoah and brought out new "Strato Charged" Husqvarna, Poulan, and Craftsman two stroke engines with this new technology from Zenoah. The "Strato Charged" system utilizes a air purge between the exhaust and intake cycles of the two stroke engine to lower emissions.

All the above is correct, but 15 years back I was able to find a matching crank at a local small engine shop, and I did go with American made bearings engine worked great till it met mother earth, then it went to Ralf in az and when it came back it never ran so good, and now sorry I sold it
