Default Experience with DLE 85

I am planning to buy a DLE 85 for my 1/3 scale BUSA Sopwith PUP. I know this would be plenty of power for this airplane. But I don't want to put a wimpy motor on this plane and then have to add even more lead for balancing. I would like to hear some comments about this motor, before I shell out 550 bucks for it. The DL 50 I had was one of the best motors I owned. haven't read anything about the 85, though.

The DLE85 is a very smooth running and powerful engine. Unlimited vertical on a 28 pound airplane using a 26-10 Xoar prop. I mounted mine without the supplied anti-vibration mount and was quite surprised how smooth the engine runs. Very pleased with the engine and I would highly recommend it.

Early on they had some carb problems but those should have been resolved long ago. Do a search on this forum and you should find quite a bit about the engine. Same with other forums .... not a lot out there but for the most part, reports are quite positive.
