Default EME 60 top rpm

hi folks
I am running a new EME 60 engine have put 2 full 24 oz tanks threw it and running on regular gas 30 to 1 oil mix and a Falcon 23x10 prop but full throttle is only giving me around 5800 rpm I have tried adjusting the top end needle but no difference i even reset back to factory . Is it possible the engine timing is out and does any one know the setting for the EME 60 ?
Thanks truly .
Daniel.

Thats quite a bit of pitch for that diameter. Do you have any other props to try? Can't speak for the 60, but my friend's 35 picked up considerable performance as it broke in.

the manual and Thunder bolt both say - Recommended Props: 23x10, 23x12, 24x8, 24x9, 24x10 and should be getting between 6300 and 7100 rpm .

That would be one stump puller 60 to turn A 24-10 in that RPM range. Some of the other listed props yes, especially if something like a Falcon carbon prop is being used. I'd start out with the 24-8 or 24-9 Falcon. Even a 23-8 or 9 for the first runs.

EME engines does have a forum here on rcu and some are getting good results with falcon wood 23x10 props.

It very well me be ok on a run in engine but I'd get some time on the engine before putting that much prop load on it.

I have an EME 60 in a T.F. Corsair ARF. Test flight was with a 24x10 2-blade. Turned about 6k on the ground. Went to a 22x10x3 Mejzlik and again turned 6k. Largest prop was a 23x8x3 Xoar and it turned 5.8k on the ground. All props unloaded well in the air and flew the plane well. The Mejzlik ran the fastest, of course.

Your rpm figures are not far off what should be expected. Also, turning a large prop looks good as well!
