New to gas engine models
Hi EveryoneI have been given a Dynaflite Super Decathlon and a Zenoah g26. I have always wanted to get into the larger gas powered models and this is my first. I’m sure I will have many questions in the future but would like to start with just two for now.
Steve
- The engine does not have a mounting plate on the rear of the engine. Best I can tell from pictures I have seen on web sites the mounting plate bolts to the rear of the crankcase with 3 screws and it looks like the mounting plate has an arm on each side that also bolts into the side of the crankcase. Where can I find these mount plates?
- The plug wire is missing the 90 degree cap that plugs onto the spark plug. Can you get replacement plugs to put on the wire or do you have to replace the coil assembly and where can I find these items as well?

A list of some of the RC clubs in your area. How close and how many are still in operation, I do not know. But if you can find one, they are a great place for help. Good luck and welcome to Gas.

Yes I am a member of the Lake Country R/C Club in Ardmore but sad to say not alot of activity and just a few gas flyers. I plan on picking there brains when i get a chance just looking for some advance information from you guys. I am an old school kit builder but it seems most people now days go with ARF's or buy used ready to fly. I built my first RC kit back in 1973 and still enjoy building. Thanks for the club info.
