Default Evolution 10cc first generation

I have a Evolution 10cc first generation that I want to convert to the pump carb. on the newer second generation 10cc engine to do this I will need to drill and tap a hole in the left side of the crankcase to get crankcase pressure I was wondering if I could drill the back cover and get crankcase pressure from there.
Thank You for any replies Greg

Sorry Greg, real estate on the back plate won't clear the rod and crank pin. They are just too close.

I have one that's done/ready to go I'm not using. Would be willing to sell it for 125. complete shipped. No damage of any sort, carefully broken in, to include new never used stock muffler, and maybe 3 hours use on a new crank and rod that was replaced under warranty. Hell, I'll even toss in a motor mount that's all set up for it. -Al

I tapped mine in the backplate and then filed the tap to be even with the backplate. Works fine.
