I have used Loctite 660 for that same repair sans the knurling. The bearing inner race had worn the crank down slightly . The bearing was bad for a very long time is my guess . Anyhow 5 years later and lots of flight time its still running smoothly .

Oh! by the way ,just to be sure it set centered on the crank I jigged it up to rotate the crank slowly in the case while it set . I'm not sure if it really helped but I wanted the radial runout to be minimal . It was but not sure the jigging was necessary.

The saga continues, or ends, with my knurled crankshaft. My favorite machine shop got a quote from another shop he has used before, of $250 to plate up the knurled portion and machine it back to spec. Definitely a sum to consider. A Zenoah G45 with the backplate mount and converted to electronic ignition could be a replacement with some modifications to the models. Dan.
