Default 2" Extension for a US41 engine

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find one of these. Thank you in advance!!!

Are you speaking of a propeller hub extension, or what? These are the only guys that have anything for US engines that I know of; anything else would probably have to be custom made.

I'm not sure that 2" of extension would be a great idea on that engine. That would place the rotational mass well in front of any main crankshaft support bearings. Can you move the whole engine ahead?

Yes, if he is speaking of a prop hub/shaft extension, that was my thought as well; 2" is quite a lot.

Hardwood dowels, (round or square), from the hardware store can make good mounting spacers. On engines that do not normally mount on spacers, I sometimes make spacers out of plywood. I trace the mounting surface onto the plywood, and cut it out with a jigsaw. I then use a large hole saw to cut out the center area to save weight.

I am building a Vailly L-5 and I was trying to locate the extension that Roy suggested. He no longer sells them, and Ziroli does not make them and they suggested I check with Sierra. I have sent them several emails with no return so I will just sit and see what I can come up with.
