Default G26 slow to come down to slow idle.

I have a G26 engine that I put a frank bowman ring in and a new carburator. The Carb. that came on it had very little adjustment on the low needle. 1/6 movement either way would go from rich to lean. I adj. the new carb. and have a good top end and pretty good idle, but it is slow to come down to idle. It will fly about 100 feet as it comes to slow idle. Can someone tell me if it is in the adjustment of the low needle. Thanks Wayne

Yup, as you suspect, it's very likely the low speed needle, and it's just a hair lean. Richen just a hair, maybe a screwdriver blade width at a time, until your problem subsides.

A lean HS needle can contribute to the problem.

I agree with what was said above,, but,, are you sure you have the correct Carb ??,,

to add, a Lean LS screw can also make an engine hard to start
