Default No spark Rcaxl 2.0

I bought a Turnigy 52 cc engine a few years ago.
ive test-run it a few times and made two flights with it.
i them bought another plane and put the motor on it.
i ran it a few times but didn’t fly it.
last fall I was hooking up the battery to the cdi.
i accidentally plugged it in the wrong way.
now I have no spark.
could I have fried the cdi?

Try this . Power up the ignition directly from a battery with no switch inline Retest for spark if you have it now your switch is bad. Still no spark then do the following test .Power up the ignition .Install a spark plug in the cap . Disconnect the crank signal sensor from the ignition . Find a small paper clip and bend it so that you can momentarily make contact across the Black and White terminals of the ignition module sensor harness (not the sensor itself). DO NOT INSERT JUMPER INTO THE TERMINALS . Only make monetary contact with the end of the terminals . The ignition should spark each time you make and break contact across the Black and White wire terminals . If you get no spark but hear a slight popping you need a new plug cap . If you get no noise or spark you need and ignition module . If you get good spark you need a new crank sensor . Please read understand understand these instructions thoroughly before attempting the test.
