Default The use of glow fuel in saito petrol series FG

So my main question is Why cant we use glow fuel on the saito petrol carb?It looks to me due to the sensitivity of the needles even when running on petrol that these carbs on the saito fg series(up to 20fg as after that they are a type of walbro equivalent ) were designed for glow anyway as a type of semi pumper and then saito must of thought we could use them for our small petrol series. When using tubing and tank bungs suitable for Petrol fuel ,you can use glow fuel on those with no issues. It usually only works one way round..don't use petrol on stuff made for glow...that's my point really...Does anyone definitely know what's in the saito petrol carb and whether glow fuel will kill it or not??

It might sound a silly question but having recently acquired an fg20 I am a little worried by some of the issues discussed here and thought as a back up i could run them on glow with a glowplug and no ignition if it all goes pear shaped. Also the pumper carb could be shortened as a last resort and all the diaphragms removed and just sealed off to act as a normal glow carb...Just a thought. They might make a lovely glow with the barrel shim removed and an OS F in the head!
