Red face Looking for hall sensor for saito fg-36

The hall sensor on my saito FG36 is broken. At some point they went to the FG36B and it has a totally different hall sensor. The FG-36 can't be upgraded to use the new hall sensor. So HELP! I can't find the original hall sensor anywhere! Can anybody help?

Have you tried CH ignitions? I would think he could come up with something that would work.

I have a good FG-36 ignition including the sensor that I will sell as a complete unit for $50 plus shipping from ABQ, NM. Call me at 505-514-8913 if interested.

From what I've read, the timing and other things were totally changed when saito went to the FG-36b. Not sure if CH could help but thanks for the suggestion.

IS it the large round sensor or one resembling all the other excel/etc sensors?

Default FG-36 Hall Sensor

It is an original FG-36 Ignition system with the large cylindrical sensor vertically mounted at the bottom of the forward crankcase.

Default Replacement FG-36 Hall Sensor

I should clarify that it is not an RCEXL/CH Ignitions type Hall sensor. In order to use an RCEXL sensor the engine would need to be re-timed and the prop hub would require machining the proper location for a new magnet set in the new correct timing position. This is a direct replacement for your ignition without modification.

Great. that's what I need. My zip code is 34638. If you use www.pirateship.com for shipping you'll save a LOT. Let me know the total price and how you would like payment.

THANKS!

Ok, I'll get it packed up and figure out the shipping. I like to use PayPal if that works for you.

Default FG-36 Ignition

Its ready to go Sailr, weight is 10 oz so the shipping by USPS Ground Advantage is $7 rounded off ($0.45 for my trip to the P.O.) so your cost is $57 even. Make payment to my PayPal account, [email protected], and I'll get it off ASAP.
Thanks,
Andy
