US 41 engine, are they test run?
I was at the local hobby shop looking to buy a US 41 engine. I was inspecting the engine (they let me take it out of the box) and noticed that it had been previously started. I could smell fuel from the engine, there was oil residue inside the muffler and you could tell the engine was mounted to something previosly, the backplate had an imprint of something bolted to it. Also the spark plug tip was slightly discolored from being run. I read the enclosed paperwork and it had no mention of these engines being tested.
My question is, are these engines test run at the factory, or was this engine returned by someone who no longer wanted it for some reason. I am going to buy one of these engines, just don't want to buy a "used" engine.
