Walbro Carb Fuel Nipple
Hi All,
The fuel inlet nipple on my Walbro carburetor (Zenoah G-62) was not positioned in an ideal place, so I rotated it with a pair of needle nose pliers. I was under the impression that the inlet nipple was a "press fit" and could be rotated in this manner, but now after rotating it, it is quite loose (it was very tight before I moved it). I'm worried that I now have a problem with it, or that it will create an air leak by being so loose! Any suggestions??
Thanks!
John Morley

RE: Walbro Carb Fuel Nipple
Hi John,
I am at that crossroad in building my plane. The fuel inlet is parallel with the sides of my plane, and exactly centered. I tried to rotate it by hand, but it would not budge. I was considering doing what you did but was afraid that the plastic might break off. I assumed that it must be pressure fit, with some sort of epoxy adhesive to prevent it from turning. This information at least gives me an option if I do decide to rotate it.
Thanks to you both,
Ron Bojak

John,
JB will work. You could also replace the inlet with a metal one. See on this page: http://www.bennettbuilt.com/page2.htm
