To the best of my knowledge, I thought they were not being shipped yet, either.

Hi, any one have any updated information, any bench running or flight tests.

My TF P51 flies good with the US 41, but in this hot weather I could use a bit of extra power and the slim design of this engine appeals to me?
thanks - ken

I got more info on this engine. Revolution is the company. Its the same folks who make the aluminium spinners.

their phone # is 905-564-3099. Ask for Arthur.

I spoke to Arthur Lin yesterday and put my name on order for an engine. The wait is around 6 weeks.

Arthur said there is a review of the engine in the TF 1/5 P51D arf in the Sept issue of Fly RC - has any one read it.

The engine uses a reed valve on the back of the carburetor and they have developed their own ignition system.

I plan to retrofit my existing TF P51 with the Revolution 52cc.

Has anyone run or flown this engine?

cheers - ken

Yeah, I read the P-51 review in "Fly RC"....

There is a FEW words regarding the Rev-52, NONE of which make any statements regarding how it starts and runs![:@] It's still vaporware as far as I'm concerened.

Bart

Would a DA50 fit in the TF P51? That is what I might use.

DA50 fits but the muffler sticks out a bit so you will have holes in the side of the cowling.

With all the advertising that Brison does on this engine you would think someone has one to report on.

To the best of my knowledge, the only place this engine is currently being run is on a vertical T/O and landing UAV and little to no information will be coming from that source.

I do know that there has been some internal discussions about cleaning up the casting appearance of the crankcase, but that's about all I've been able to garner.

No one has replied to this thread in a while I was wondering if anyone else has recently got this engine and how's it compare against other 50cc size engines (eg. DA,ZDZ,3W)

Well I have finally seen this engine perform and man is it a ripper. Starting is a little bit harder then compared to my DA-50 but then again mine is a DA [>:]. The overall engine runs very smooth and has a lot of power at full throttle, a little more then my DA. The plane it was in is a Kangke Extra 330 with a 84" wingspan that died at a IMAC event the pilot (who is also a member at my field and has taught me pretty much all I know about doing aerobatics) was doing freestyle with it, the engine was still in good shape but I can't say the same for the airplane. But it will be going into a new Edge 540 soon and so I will try to get a Tach on it and really compare it to my DA-50 soon.

There is a review on the engine in the Aviation Models 30% Yak 54 87" wingspan 17 lbs. in the April 2006 issue of Fly RC on page 92. It sounds good enough for me to order one for my AM Yak.

There is a good review in this months issue (Oct.) of R/C Report by Dick Pettit. RC report is the probably the least bias and most honest of all the RC mags.

20x8W apc =7700
22x8 apc = 7380
22x10 apc = 6450
23 x 8 Bolly = 6360
24 x 6 zinger = 7100 (200 more RPM than his g-62)

I do know that if you are going to run this engine in a tight cowl like a P-51 they recommends a small fan blade (That they sell) to keep the engine from overheating.

Cheers - Very lightweight and compact; easy to start by hand; powerful for its size

Jeers - Rough Castings; Muffler had a tiny leak; carb is located close to the firewall; long unthreaded section of the prop shaft.
