Default Range check,, how far ????

How far with antenna down and no glitches is considered to be the acceptable range ?

My friend is currently running a Poulan 46 on CH Ignition. Just recently he has had some glitching problems even when flying. It does not range check well on the ground with antenna down, but is fine at low RPM's with antenna up

Then we switched to my 10X with 649 SPCM and not even the slightest twitch.

Back to the original question, we have gone though everything and think it may have been a defective switch, but still get the twitchy with antenna down and about 300 Ft.

Egine running should be better than 85% of engine off range.

my JR transmitter says "system should function properly to a distance of 60-65 feet"

I find that I routinely go several hundred feet and still have control. After a few hundred feet, sometimes some surfaces begin to twitch, but I still have control. This is with the antenna collapsed.

I just had the same prolbem with a 9CAP I went through 3 RX's (PCM) and even 2 sets of servo's (digitals) in my Sukhoi with a Fuji 50. Then we put my module in a buddy's TX and not even a glitch. We put his module in my TX and it did the same on his plane with my radio. Needless to say my TX is at Futaba as we speak for warranty repairs.

Sounds like the same prolbem, The TX????????

Just my 2 cents.

I always figure a 100 to 150 feet with the antenna collapsed with motor running is ok. Still need to check it with the motor off though to compair.
