RE: BME 55 Extreme Specs
If you have received reliable information that this engine in fact will materialize and be available at the time you propose, I find it very strange that you could not get the sought after information from the same source.

Source is below. Thought it might be prudent to request the information here so anyone interested can easily look it up.

RE: BME 55 Extreme Specs
very cool, awesome numbers.
2 questions for Keith.
Weight with stock muffler??
And is this a reed valve induction motor??
7100 with a 24-8 Menz will make eveyone take notice.

Man, that may present some challenges in the CG dept....but , wow...it may just be worth it, IMO.
April will be an interesting month.

I think the point of this light weight motor, like the 110, is that you can put a tuned can on it that cranks up the power, and the weight of the motor and can, is what say a DA or ZDZ 50 weighs, but with a lot more power, and no weight penalty for the can.

April and this motor's field trials and repair reports will determine my choice of a new 50cc class motor. It has to be the whole package, or it won't go into my competition bird. So, once again April will be a very interesting month.
The numbers make this motor tantalizing. But, the other factors are just as important. And only time will tell. The first video of this motor will go a long way to increasing the "it" factor.

Good point Boss, but no one would think the 110 would live up to the hype....and it did.

Half of that power in 50cc plane would be unreal.
Does the Falkon ign auto-retard for start-up , like the CH???

RE: BME 55 Extreme Specs
Falkon starts at 2 BTDC and advances..C&H also advances after initial flip to retard...
Falkon static timing is 2 BTDC
C&H static timing is 28-30 BTDC
