Default 3W Engines

What is everyone's experience with 3W engines for a 85" warbird? How does 3W compare to Zenoah and ZDZ?

3Ws are as good as anything else out there. No complaints with any of mine. If it fits your application, they are an excellent choice.

3W are good engines. I work them hard in my research project and they keep running. Sizes include 24 cc - 212 cc. Other brands have not held up as well

I have had 14 3w engines, from 70cc single up to the new 157, never one single problem or failure.

2 3W's, 75i and -106. Good engines. I'll be buying a third soon.

I have 3W-24, 3W-75, 3W-80xi, 3W-106QQ all run flawless I also have a DA50 - it runs flawless as does the numerous DA-100s I have set up as have all the ZDZs... come to think about it... So does that BME 110...

There is of course always that chance of an occasional lemon from every manufacturer.... but I have yet to see one...

3W-80TOC, 3W-100, 3W-106TOC, 3W-106QS, 3W-150, all in planes except the old 150, it's being built. No issues except one ignition. If you can't properly set up an engine, You'll have problems and then come on here bashing a product. If you can you'll enjoy the power. If you can't, buy a DA and Dave will do it for you..BTW, my 2-DA-100's and my DA-150 run perfectly also...I need a 157

The new 3W-55 I have here is awesome, it's patiently waiting for flying weather..

There are many fine motors out there

I can't wait to get my new 3W 80i up and flying! If it works as well as the 3W 60 I had it will be sweet!

When it comes to 3W it seems people either swear by them or swear at them. I own six. I have seen them come with defects right out of the box. In general I think they are very good engines. I also like my zenoahs.
