Default Which Heavy Duty Starter ?????

Hello -

I'm looking for a heavy duty starter for a Quadra 75 and eventually larger engines. Have found Sullivan 651 and 652 at Tower. Which one is best? Are there other brands that are better? Any suggestions appreciated!!!!!!

Thanks,

Brian

If you want the best . Miller Belt drive with a Dynatron on 24 v. Start your plane and your car .

I have the miller belt drive and it works great. I run it on 24 volts. The Sullivan Megatron should also work well. All my future engines will be electronic ignition so I don't need a starter

thanks for the input. I got a dynatron with miller drive. Will likely go with electronic ignition in future.

Thanks,

I recently saw a "why diden't I think of that" set up at our field. A club member purchased a large drive cone and rubber insert through Radio South in Pensacola and used it on his 18 volt cordless drill. Very cost effective and turned over his G62 with plenty of power left over. The handle grip worked good and very compact set up. No lead acid battery to bother with.
