Default Zama Carburetor Adjustment

I am kind of new to gassers, but have learned a bit about carb adjustments. My first gasser was a US 41 with a Walbro carb. I think it was easier to fine tune than the Zama. I have two engines with Zama carbs and have found the 1/8 turns are ok for getting close but then you must fine tune with 1/6 and 1/32 turns to get the best setting. Also you must adjust both high and low together. I am sure this is not news to many, but I just wanted to share what I have learned. I now have two planes with gas engines that are ready to fly. I hope to GET-ER-DONE soon.

No, my carbs came factory set 1-1/4 from closed on low and 1 turn from closed on the high. It will start there, but lean on the high. From there you can turn 1/8 to get close, then 1/6 and even 1/32 for final adjustments. My engines are quite new yet so i'm sure some readjustments will be needed later.
