Da-100 Ignition
Hi All
I have had a problem with my Da-100.
Last two times I have flown the plane, the tempature has been cold, between 35 and 50 degrees. The engine starts on two cylinders, but drops to one. The first day flying I swapped plugs from left to right and it ran good.
Today it started on both but dropped to one cylinder. I reversed plugs and the same cylinder would not fire. Should I just put fresh plugs in see if that fixes it or does it sound like a bad ignition?
Thanks
Bill

RE: Da-100 Ignition
It could be a couple things, the ignition itself, the wires, and the plug caps. The caps may have gone bad, and that does happen. Probably best to just send the igntion to DA, and you will have it back ASAP.

RE: Da-100 Ignition
It could also be contaminated plugs.
What is the colour of the plug inner works? They should be chocolate brown to slightly paler. If sooty black, you found your problem.
