3w-75 w/canister muffler -- HELP
What is a good quiet set-up, yet retains the power. How critical is the header length? Can I mix parts and brands (3w header w/JMB can)?

Similiar questions
I am going to be installing a 3W 70iUS in a Lanier Giant Stinger, and I have similiar questions. On the stinger, the engine is mounted inverted and the canister would have to be mounted on the bottom of the fuselage.
My current plan is to get a KS exhaust flange with swaged stub, sold by Desert Aircraft, about 6.5 inches of teflon hose, and either a KS canister muffler or the 3W canister muffler.
I sent an e-mail to Desert Aircraft to see if they know how this set up will perform. I also left a message with Gerhard at Aircraft International asking his advice. When I ordered the engine, he mentioned that the optimum header length is 6.5 inches. That's all I know for certain.
I need to verify that the KS exhaust flange will bolt to the 3W and figure out how to mount the muffler to the bottom of the plane.
