Default Cheap gasser ?????

i'm in the planning stages of a 27% Extra 300L and i've decided on the 46cc from Brillelli. A friend came across this engine and sent it to me. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this....

That doesn't look like the 46cc on Brillelli's website; http://brillelli.com/brillelli_engines_009.htm .

Not saying it isn't a good engine, just doesn't look like the Brillelli to me.

I have done extensive reading on this engine. Run, don't walk, away from it! There have been huge issues with this engine. Stick with the BCMA and Brillelli engines, for good quality, innexpensive gassers.

Do a search on CRRC Pro in this forum -- you'll find a couple of very long threads. These engines seem to perform best as a good old glow-engine rather than a gasser.

I can't report about the Brilleli but I have the small BCMA which I understand is basically the same and I have been very impressed. As the engine breaks in it has more power, easier to start and I love not having to clean up castor oil.

I have the BCMA 40, and give it two thumbs up. Fantastic customer service, as well. BCMA and Brillelli work very closely together. You can't go wrong with them!

From what I've read I wouldn't touch the CRRC.

I've heard that it is a great glow engine...<G>

Anyone that doesn't want theirs is welcome to send it to me for disposal.

Any engine ad that has to put a huge " WOW " as the main point of thier ad tells me that something is wrong. They are appealing to emotion to sell thier product, this tells me that talking about the engine itself would not be so great... Many people, not being to bright, fall for this type of advertising.

Actually, I have converted my CRRC Gf45i into a glow engine, and its great. the whole lot brand new including conversion has cost me less than AUD$430. then I got $100 back from selling the ignition. so I think AUD$330 is a pretty good sort of expenditure for a large glow engine brand new, that will develop close to 5 HP (still testing it at the moment). Its certainly not the same quality as some of the higher end engines, but it has all the bits that count, and is made good enough to do the job.

I am contemplating on ordering one to test, and get first hand experience.
What was the reason for conversion? (PM if need be)

I converted it to basically stay with glow fuel. all my models have big four stroke glow engines in them and I figured that I may as well stay that way. the other reason was to avoid the weight of the ignition module, ignition battery and all the other associated bits and also to avoid the RFI issues associated with electronic ignitions.
so far, so good.
