3MM, my question is why did you choose to copy 3w? Did you not have the skill to produce your own design?

It's not an exact clone of the 3W. Totally different crankcase design.

I have a few arriving today to test. It looks like a good engine that will be good for the intermediate flyer, possibly even more if I can get some good cannister setups.
What is good is the cost. I will be selling them for 420.00 with a standard muffler, now that can't be beat if we get a constant supply.
Parts and supplies will be available from us also. I hope to have things up and running by the next month with these.

Just unpacked a couple of these and I am pleased so far. The mufflers are a little crude but I am getting in touch with bisson for some of theirs.
I will run them in a couple of days for prelims and then flight reports. I will be flying two, one in a CA 27% extra and one in an older Wild Hare extra. This should give me some good test runs.
I will have my site up by the end of the month for everything else, if you have any questions e-mail me or pm me.

I wonder if any full scale manufactures are saying the same thing when they see all of the new arf models?

I have started a new post for the upcoming numbers and talk. We'll leave G.M. out of this as I think he forgot where TOC, AM, SD and whoever else they are came from...

Vsnap, are you going to be the authorized dealer in the States? I've looked at the videos and they seem to be OK engines and am interested in your posts. I wonder how smooth and whether or not the transition is as good as what the videos suggest.

As of right now I am the only importer trying to set-up support for this engine that I know of, I have worked on the sole import also. I have the engines in stock for delivery and I am setting up a new location for when the new line of arf airplanes arrive. We have had great results so far and look foward to getting more of these engines out to the flying fields. All the engines have started easy and run great out of the box, one gentlemen has tested it with up to a 24-8 prop and still got 6400 RPMs out of it. 7000rpms on a 22-10 with stock muffler. Transitions are good, the carb is a check valve model so it won't draw from the chamber in the idle position. This will help with a good solid idle setting and provide for a smoother transition in the mid-range.
We like em and are flying them now, we will have a few of them flying in IMAC this summer and I have high interest from the 3-D guys due to the low cost and availability.
Thanks
Scott

I have to give kudos to the TOC 53. A friend of mine has one in his Aeroworks Pitts Python. Man what a match made in heaven. He had trouble with it at first until he realized that the carb was installed upside down. After that not so much as a cough.
I made him a vinyl graphic to go on his cowl, sorry just had to show it off. And yes that is his LS3 vette in the background.
