Does anyone know of a multi cylinder gasser out there? I'm talking about more than a twin now. I'm sure there are some glow engine that may have been converted but are there any true multi cylinder gassers? Just curious.

Robby,

Man, that's some serious horse power . From the looks of the prices on these babies I'd say it's time for a conversion muti cylinder. I was thinking on the lines of something a little smaller. Something I can afford .

Then again, there's the 4 cylinder 3w's. None of the big multis, either opposed or radial, are cheap. They all require pretty large planes as well. The RCS radial engines perform extremely well and sound NEAT!

Hi,

3W has a 4 cylinder 112? cc engine. I am trying to think up a research need for that engine. I think it would be sweet.

It has cool factor no doubt

Wonder if it sounds as nice as one of the big Moki/RCS radials. Could be an alternative for that true to scale sound!

Any one with a vid of that motor running. I seen the one on the 3w Sight, but I don't think it does it justice.

yum, lucky you - you can think like that

Years ago, when I was in R&D, all I had to do was to find unallocated funds and justify the use to myself. We did get several of those four cylinder opposed engines, various marks - and I remember the prices were at least double what they are now. JPX in france built us a small four-banger, 880 cc, 60 HP. I sometime think of all the good stuff we junked trying to do things which we knew were not possible. One could equip a small R/C airforce with that load of stuff.

And here I am dreaming.....

What about the LS 50 twin? Not a bad price at $450. I'm still waiting to hear something good or bad about it. I'm tempted to take a chance and buy it. All it takes is money.

There is always the venerable Zenoah 80 twin gasser, if you have around $800.

That 112b4 is a sweet looking engine. I'll bet it has almost as much power as the first full scale cub engines did!
