Bolly Roll Call
Hey Guys,
I have been running bolly wood props on my DA50 and have been very impressed with the power and just the overall performance of the prop. I find these much better than any Menz I have flown. I see that most people haven't tried a Bolly, or I don't hear people talking about them. I just wanted to see who flies them and on what. Also, what Bolly Wood or CF props are recommended for a DA50. I am running a 23x8 with great results. Anyhow, sound off.
Adam

RE: Bolly Roll Call
We have run the Bolly wood, NX, PT, Mejzlik and Menzs on the DA 50s, all were pretty good but the Vess props are night and day better on the 50, you might want to give one a shot. We use the Vess 23A. I would be curious to your opinion of the Vess 23A compared to the bolly back to back. The bolly is very good though.

RE: Bolly Roll Call
Really? I love my Bolly 23x8 on my Extra 260. The airplane flies much slower, pulls much better, and has much better downline breaking. I am getting around 6400 rpm, which isn't bad.. The 22x10 flew nice, but it was very fast.
Anyone tried a 24x8 composite? The 22x8 cf prop on my DA50 turned 8200 RPM!!! [X(] A bit too small.
Where can I order a Vess?

Well, i have been enjoying the vess quite a bit. I don't like it as much for 3d flying as the pull out is strong but slow, but for Imac, the airplane feels so constant, stable and predictable. Downlines have great braking, uplines are strong and constant speed. Maybe 22b would be a better match for 3d flying?
