Default Good Q&A for Beginners?? Help needed

Hi, fellas,

I've just started on gas engines and I've bought for different reasons 3 of them. A Zenoah G23, a G26 and a Fuji 32EI.

Further on, I'll buy a 3W or DA for my 16 y.o. kid. He likes those 3D stunts...

Well, the engines came mostly not assembled which means I'll have to deal with that and, specially the electric connections which is brand new to me.

As you already know, manuals stink, at best...

Anyway, I'm wondering if you could point me to a good source of real basic info on how to understand gas engines and related issues.

Thanks a lot for any help.

Flavio

Don's Hobbies has a very good book on gas engines and giant scale. The IMAA has a fairly nice article on gas engines on their website. RC Showcase has a good article on their site on tuning a gas engine. This forum has everything you'll ever need to get the job done. RCIGN1 is the paragon of knowledge when it comes to Zenoah engines.

Silver,

Thanks for your input.

I could find Don's Shop and I'll call them Monday morning to order the book

I also found the RC Showcase article. Culdn'd find IMAA article though.

Anyway, beeing part of this community will be the key to "get the job done" as you said.

Thanks again!

Flavio

A good read. Book by Gordon Jennings, a lot of good info on 2 stroke engines. PDF and Word download available at the link below.
