I heard about this through a friend. I guess its all true! Sounds like a good model for a low cost engine.

The number is busy... all day. I'll try again. I want one.

Does the exhaust port not have threads for the header? Looks like ears for mounting a bolt in reverse???

Dart,

I don't know about how the muffler mounts. Not clear to me from the pictures and there are no specifications published that I've been able to find. At this point I would suggest a call or email to Keith at BME. In the end I think we will not know the final details of this engine until they ship. At this point I don't know if anyone understands when that might be. All I know is that there have been delays.

Zenoahs use a square nut that fits in the space behind the ears.theres a top and bottom lip so the nut cant turn then you just use a standard metric bolt the proper length.

The square nut approach can be made to work, but the preferred method is a square-headed bolt with the head slipped into the slots on either side of the port, then muffler slipped over the projecting shafts, then washers & nuts turned down onto the muffler. That way length of bolt is not critical.

oops,i forgot about the zenoah bolts.been a long time since i looked at mine.I just went to ace and picked up 2 nuts and bolts.easier than paying .99 cents a bolt, plus .99cents a nut plus 4.99 up to 7.99 s&h.just came from horizons website.plus you have to wait for the package and somtimes they have to backorder. But majortom did describe the proper method in wich the mufflers are to be mounted.

Has anyone heard any status on these engines? If not I guess I can drop Keith an email. I wonder if we can get him to post some pictures of what it will look like? Last I heard the engine was redesigned. If anyone has specs for the new engine or pictures please share.

I have not heard any mention of a redesign which seems quite unlikely as Keith had mentioned earlier that all the engine parts were on hand and only needed asembly, but you can check posts 1,11 and 33 for pictures.
