I like turn my engine with big prop at low RPM , 24-8 and 24-10 JXF , about 6450 , less noise and got more stastic thrust .. and mid rang transation are just WOW. Not DL 50 but my 62CC engine , (if change to 22-10 JXF prop , the RPM are going too high , it's over 7400 )

Looks like DL is waaaay stronger than 3MM
7700 !!!! that rivals mvvs58 and lighter in wt too
thx

on what prop!! noway is the DL 50 going to hold a candle to a 58!!put a 24-8 prop on it and let's compare numbers.on a pipe or on a pitts muffler.
let the games begin

3500ft are about 90.4% air density compare with sea level altitude . so if you can get 7300RPM with Mez 22-10 at 3500 ft. you may got probable 6600 rpm at low altitude but even more thrust.

After measuring a few small glow engines I find that you can get more rpm and less thrust with different manufacturer's props. Does anyone have thrust numbers to go with the rpm?

Uh, I wouldn't worry about loosing power with that engine on that little plane. It's gonna hover at 2 clicks above idle. If you haven't already bought the plane, get something bigger. Not that it won't be fun (a friend had a DA50 on the Italia H9 Cap) but you won't have optimal wing loading. Get an Extreme Flight or SD Yak and you won't be able to stop smiling.

I take it back, I looked up that plane, should be fine if you can keep it under 15.5 lbs.

BTW my avitar is my Lanier kit Cap with a DA50 and 14.5 lbs, highly modified during construction.

I have a Albatross prop 22x8 from TBM my DL-50 spins this prop at just over 2800 its right at about 2228 on the ground. I can hear my prop hiting supersonic in the air if I let it. is that amount of RPM bad for the motor? my motor temps are at 152 F

Motul Synthetic 2cyl oil
used motor got of here no idea how much time on it.
