Default faulty plug wires

I have a zenoah gt-74 and the plug wires arch to the carb and the cylinder heads does anyone know how to change the plug wires to shielded ones, or even where I can get some locally?

Default OH NO

The plug wire is molded into a Zenoah coil. You get to buy 2 new coils

Never saw this happening .If the coils spark to the manifold try tightening the screws that hold the coils on...Also try some new spark plugs..Way cheaper than a couple of $65.00 coils.....

I just changed the champion resistor spark plugs because of the mis-fire I'm now using ngk resistor plugs. Is it possible that the 1500ma ignition battery is too much? coils are $65! shoot me now.

it is the ch ignition for the 74. Instead of the leads comming straight out of the ignition module it retains the stock coils.

No such thing as too much battery..
I know Bill's ignition ( Brand X) is good, but there must be some problem with the insulation on the wires....Does it jump from where the wires enter the coils or somewhere along the wire ??
Have you grounded the ignition box to the engine ?

it jumps all along the wire. dont try and touch because it shocks the hell out of you. I tried covering the wires with metal tape to shield, but with no success. btw you fixed a g38 for me about 8months ago and it still purrs flawlessly. the ignition box is grounded with the ground provided. Is there another way to ground it besides the one provided?

Nope, unless the ground wire is somehow disconnected from the circuit inside the box. Try running a new ground from under one of the screws in the box to the motor mount...
The shield on the wires won't help, just lets the spark jump to the shield instead of the carb or manifold....
You might try about 3 layers of heat shrink on the wires..

Ok now the question is why?? Check the 3 black wires on the ignition module.
The battery lead, the ground wire, and the black wire to the sensor. All three should be common to each other. If you find one that is not thats your problem.
