Hello,I just got free's SV and made new gaskets for it we've not found any
reliable source for any parts on these.I even had to make reeds for one
friend, used motorcycle reeds and cut them to fit.It runs good.I know I
did'nt answer your question, but you may have to make your own small
parts.Good luck, they are still an OK engine for the price.

"Has any tried RC Showcase for the status of parts for the SV 26 as their website shows it's available from them. "

We have complete parts now in stock for the SV 26 and the new SV 50 cc engines.

David,
Thank you for telling all of us.I'm sure it will help many,
as most sites don't show any parts for these good little engines.
I've been a mechanic over 36 yrs.and airplane hobbist longer,
and making a few parts don't scare me I'll recheck your site soon!!

I flew my Comp ARF YAK today. It has a 50cc SV twin installed. I could not ask for a better engine. It started easy, ran smoothly , idled reliably.
I don't lnow if it has "Unlimited Vertical", It will fly as high as I can comfortably see it. I don't know if it will hover, but it flew the 7 1/2 Kg YAK with great authority. For the price it is a great engine.

I have not touched the needles at all.

Regards

Please give me advice - where it is possible to buy the valve of a petal?
At a resource of 35 hours the motor has lost 10-15 % of r.p.m. The valve is broken (One part of the valve has been broken and not closed a window).
I in haste have bought the valve in Moscow - but the cost is not have the reasonable explanation..
Now I would like to buy one or two valves on a shelf (for reserve).

You might want to try Hobby City in China. hobbycity dot com
This is where I bought my SV-26. They might have parts now. Drop them an Email.

Edit: Looks like RCU doesn't want competitors URLs posted. Let's see if it screws it up again. Yep. OK, I'll take off the http: etc.
Still messed it up. I'll try writing it out. OK, that worked. Anyway it's silly on the part of RCU, IMHO. All one has to do to
the original URL is take out the asterisks.

Sorry to hear that, hope it's not too bad.

Lemme see something: www.cermark.net

Now I get it regarding the URLs. Looks like if the URL is one of the RCU advertisers, it goes thru. Otherwise it gets corrupted.

Hope you get your plane fixed soon.

Regards,

CR

Well, the SV Twin is a tough engine. I planted mine in the dirt on Saturday. Destroyed the model but the engine is OK. The mufflers are ruined and the rear mount is slightly bent but the rest is Ok. I have ordered a new YAK, it was a great flying model.

Hi; I have a single cylinder SV50, on a Kangke Rearwin Speedster. After a ton of work I have the plane together and have 4 flights on it, The problem is with the now modified to fit in the cowl muffler keeps cracking or the tailpipes break out on their own. Is there a good replacement out there someplace? I need it to be fairly narrow to fit inside the cowl of the speedster thanks

I'm hoping somebody here can help. A friend of mine in our club has one of these SV26 engines. It runs like CRAP. No matter what we do, we can't get it lean out. It transitions poorly, lousy top end, and is very hard to start. However, once started, it idles great. LOL.

We've tried all the normal stuff. Fully charged battery. Plug gap at .018. Pennzoil @ 30:1. Fresh gas. etc. Plug is black, but it's running so rich, nothing we can here.

When running, we're trying to lean it out, and moving the needle a very small amount (@ 1/16 of a turn), and the engine goes from slobbering rich to too lean and just dies. Engine doesn't seem hot.

Any ideas guys?

We're adjusting the L&H needles on the top of the carb. I've tried resetting them to 1..5 turns each, but still no good. I've worked with gas engines for many years, so I'm pretty sure I know my way around these little engines.

I damaged my SV 50cc twin mufflers in a crash. I have been trying to buy replacement mufflers for the engine. But HobbyCity cannot help me. They don't show the twin mufflers on their web site and when I email to them they say sorry we don't carry the mufflers and cannot help me.

Does anyone know another company that sells these engines and that will sell spare parts?.

I need the mufflers urgently.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

i received my SV26 which is my first gasser. I am just wondering about the high low speed needles. I am wondering which one is the low end and which one is the high end. Also if there are any default settings for these needles. Thanks for your help.

ratchet,

Perhaps you need to look for crud in the carb. Sounds like it's clogged up.

Hi Charley - yes, that's our next step. We're going to remove the carb and try cleaning it out. Like you said, perhaps there is some crap in there somewhere.

Thanks.
