Default New 3MM 53cc-TOC gas engine website

Hi everyone,

We have just launched a new infomational website for the 53cc gas engine, 3MM 53cc-TOC. The url for the site is www.3mmengine.com or www.3mmusa.com. This is a wonderful, compact, powerful, reliable and friendly engine in its class. At 5.5 horsepower, it is definiltely one of the more powerful. Depending which LHS you purchase from, it is definietely one of the more well priced gas engine around.

There are several authorized service centers in United States. If you are having issues that may be beyond that of your and your LHS expertise, please let us know. We'll put you in contact with your preferred authorized service center.

One of rumor regarding 3MM is that the mfg name is a playing off of the 3W engine. Unfortunately this is not the case. 3MM stands for 3 Mountain Model. 3 Mountain is a region in Taiwan, where this engine was born, and where the mfg started its operation 10+ years ago. So sorry to dispell some of the conspiracy theories, but it does make interesting topic.

Again, visit www.3mmusa.com or www.3mmusa.com, and let us know how we can better serve you.

Peace,
Steven Chao,
CERMARK

Steven,

I've had the opportunity to try our two of these engines and I have to say they are a well made product and lower in vibration than many others in the same size. Nice to see my favorite electrical component manufacturer is handling them.

we stopped carrying the 3MM TOC engines. It is an excellent engine. The carb was a Walbro, so the carb kit is readily available online.

There a good engine. I've got a couple of there 3MM 106 & 53, as well as the new TMM 106 & 53's. You can still get them, but no more developement. Shame, for they are a good engine.

Cheers

Yup Great Engines Both 53's and 106's Have had and still fly Many, The 3MM Title was Killed due to Copyright Infringements from the 3M Tape / Adhesive Film Company, That is when they Changed from 3MM to TMM, But Same Exact Engine. Just letting you all know a little History on these Engines! Ron

Oh yea what about the TMM's are they obsolete now too? I ask because I been playing with a 3mm 53cc timing, I elongated the holes on the plastic sensor mount and still can get only about 23 degrees BTC, wondering if the prop hub slipped, the mounting holes are appear factory, the engine runs ok but maybe it could be better at about 28-30 BTC, only get 6700RPM's 22x8 prop + hop up kit on carb.

Ok well forget that, I've learned the ignition module retards the timing somehow automatically for start up, so I guess I'm messing with something i shouldn't, guess thats just for the old magneto type ignition, or non automatic spark advancing box.

Well if you want to play with that just snug the bolts a little but just so you can move it with your fingers and try setting it while running! Yea sounds crazy and dangerous but be super careful and have someone put the RPM Meter on it as you move it. But the movement will be just a tiny bit to get max rpms, Set mine that way because the peak RPMs don't lie! Oh and there not obsolete just not as plentiful but 3W Top end parts are the same Specs ! Interchangeable.
