Default G20 ignition battery

Is anyone running a single cell 3.7v lipo on their Zenoah G20 ignition? How well does this settup work? I'd like to stay away from a regular four cell pack if possible.

Thanks,
Greg

Yep, but to find out more about it do a search here or visit the Toni Clake web site.

Default RE: G20 ignition battery

After reading Toni Clark's suggestions about battery use, I went with his three cell nicad option because I had a discarded power tool battery pack (1500-1800 cells) on hand and a charger that would do the the three cells.

A charge provides three full flights, which is my personal limit so this scheme works well for me. If more flight time is needed on a single charge, more battery capacity will be required.

A cheap Harbor Freight meter with a 10 ohm load resistor is used to monitor both the ignition and flight pack.

If I'd had a lipo charger, I'd likely gone that route, or if I'd started from scratch.. I'd gone the lipo route.
