RE: changing oil ratios?
Bench running is a good way to kill an engine. Do not hold max rpm for more than a second or two and allow the engine to idle and cool before shutting it down.
Bench running an engine is a very good way to learn how hot an engine can run before terminal failure.
Your temps should be around 200 degrees running at 3500 to 4000 rpm on a smaller prop than normal. Adjust the carb ritcher to cool the engine. More gas = cooler metal parts but higher exhaust gas temps.
The engine sitting there loaded to the max spinning a prop is performing to its maximum ability. Be easy on it.

Im taking the temp with a duratrax flashpoint gauge at the front of the exposed head right after a bench test after running a tank of gas. The engine was not airborn. TAZZZZ
