RE Zenoah G38 coil. Before you junk the old coil...unscrew the old spark plug wire out of it. Thats right ...some coils are made that way. When you remove the old wire you can see what looks like a wood screw that the new wire screws on. Maybe a new wire is waht it needs. I did mine that way and sealed it up with silicone rubber. Started like new without the spring starter. Best Regards Capt,n

Thanks , I'll try that. I was flying my Ziroli DR1 and the engine stopped. I couldn't get any spark from the plug, and it has a spring starter. I checked for continuity across the coil and it was infinite.
It won't hurt to recheck everything again.
