It's not the gas...it's the yellow tubing. Chemistry is not conducive to keeping all the softening oil in the plastic. Gasoline (any type) removes the oil over time
Use urethane tubing designed for gasoline and your "stiffness" will go away
For anyone interested, I just received a new batch of PolyU tubing formulated for gasoline. I purchased quantity directly from the factory that makes it and got a small price break that I will pass on. PM or email me directly

But it does mot smell does not sour and if I buy gas late in the season and let it sit in my can for 5 + months of winter it works as well as it did when I bought it, Also it does not smell it burnes clean we use 2 mix's 50 : 1 and 100 :1 . Have not had any carb problems as I/we leave them wet have not had fuel lines get hard. but I/we do change them every outher season we have all gasser's 23 CC to 100 CC I am not saying this is the best way only that it wotks vary well for us, and has eliminated our fuel related problems.

It does produce slightly less power than premium autogas. but that doesn't matter at all in my application (top level aerobatics)

To all of you guy's I have finaly decided to put a bipe BARF (ARF)in the air, that has been in my shop for about 3 years about 70 ' W/S fuse about 65 all the parts on my scale less the inerds and engine just over 5.5 lbs. So I am guessing an all up wieght would be about 10 t0 14 lbs
So the question is what engine would you use I have axcess to a G-26 or a RCGF-26 I don't need a lot of virtical as I fly just for my own enjoyment/

Bob, either of those engines would be sufficient. I have a Sig 1/4 scale cub with RCGF 26cc and a 1/5 scale Waco with a RCGF26cc and a GP Super Stearman with a 20cc. They all fly great.

I had a G-23 with the pld piont system, and I have no Idea how meny hours I qouit keeping tract after 500 flights and it was a great engine but it finaly got real tired tried the usal ring and piston helped but no cegar
My reason for asking is I hsve he that the G-26 ign system eats batteries and the RCGF-26 quaility were not as good as the ones that Henery broght in

Why not fit a RC exl ignition which is a straight plug and play affair to the G26 to solve the high power usage of the Zenoah ignition, and you're good to go.

Yep, it was a huge scam that I'm ashamed to say I fell for. Those same "Aerovate" 26 engines that we all used to pay $239 for can now be bought on Hobby King for about $130. Most places stopped carrying them altogether. BP Hobbies still does, but I'm not sure why. They should be embarrassed to sell that thing to people.
Speaking of, BP claimed they had a new 26cc that was supposed to be coming out in January. They posted a thread here and it actually looked pretty nice. I emailed them and they said the engines were in stock and they were going on the website "this weekend". That was 3 weeks ago. Not sure what's going on. I guess they don't want my money?

That has been one of my considerations , I am not quite ready for am engine as yet just looking for comments at this points don't want to have to take a step and then 2 back i am just getting to old for that.

Hey Al,
I just broke a 20cc beam mount out of stock to compare the two engines and the foot print is identical for both the 20cc and the 26cc beam mount. the mufflers will interchange. When I got my shipment in I did a check to be sure that the factory had not made a mistake in labeling the engine kit. I miced the parts and it is a 26cc jug and piston. So I put it together knowing this was going to be one of the first 26cc beam mounts in the US. I will get the photos up soon.

Hi all
Captmicom nice looking engines.
Well I got an RCGF 26cc from my lhs the price was rite and now that I have it in my shop and along side my original one from Henery there is a bit of differance, but will have to see how the new one runs befor I will have an opinion, about the bipe that I am putting it in boy did I make a boo boo with that purchase, being the cantankers old goat that I am I will make it fly, but I would never buy from this guy again (Kranke) I think, bin to long ago
Next problem our club is having an issue with a neighbor about sound so we/our club has imposed some sound rules, and come to find out none of the current mufflers furnished with most engines will not meet the AMA guid line 95db's at 11 ft, and most of the retro fit will not ether.
So dose any one else have these issues or a salutation, as I am to old and to much invested to change.
