Interesting. I agree with the point that going to 2-cylinder 200cc is probably a better option for many reasons (easier to cool, lighter, etc,). This is if you are a descernign pilot with cash.

I think, however, this was a VERY cheap way for DL to produce a 200cc engine without a need to design a brand new piston / cylinder combination. They didn't even need to do major modifications to the crankcases! Brilliant business move, especially given the times. You will shell out ~$2,700 for 2W-212 or close to $2,000 for ZDZ-210. If $999 price tag is right, this could be a huge winner...

f I were running the DL business, this is exactly the way I would go as welland then consider a 2-cyl 200cc engine...

Does the DLE-222 have the same engine mount flange bolt hole dimensions as the DA-170/200? I am retrofitting a Dalton 42% Extra 300 and would like to use the existing SWB engine mount.

We will put one of our race props on it and 4 straight stacks..If it looks promising it will be in a Tsunami racer next year...The prop is ABOUT 21x28 carbon fiber..7500 would put it in the ballpark...If that doesn't work we'll try a 26 pitch, 8000+ would work...An Aerrow 200 twin is good for over 200, the 222 is stronger on our Extra and YAK ...
If nothing else the sound alone will scare the competition...

I would love to see and hear that thing. I've never seen the racers, but I'm sure it's a sight to see.

I have a Mejzlik 29x12x3 prop left over from my DA-170. I would like to use this prop for break in on the DLE-222. Has anyone have any experience with this prop engine combo?
