Default Will not idle at end of flite

Z G-45 Idles well before take off. Runs fine on acceleration to take off. High end during the entire flite sounds fine. Good response, Good high end operation. On landing will idle onto the ground and while taxing back the engine will slowly idle down and quit. We have tried both richer and leaner on the low end neither helps. What could the problem be. Thanks Stuka Jon

How does it behave on the ground before taking off? Does it idle fine then? If so you are getting hot and running lean. Like Dick said maybe richen it up. Could be an air leak. Those cause all sorts of issues.

Could be anywhere from the clunk to the carb inlet if it's in the fuel line. I'm assuming there's no T's or anything between clunk and carb inlet. If so check those too.

Could be in the carb, or more likely in the carb block where it bolts together. Check all those areas for leaks. You might see wet spots near them, below them dripping on things. Buddy of mine had a G62 that had a leak in the jug. Was a defect from factory.

Jon
A worn, leaking, loose throttle valve (butterfly) will give an unreliable idle. In that vein, check the security of the screw holding the butterfly to the throttle shaft.

Jerry

Also: Don't overlook a bad throttle servo as a possibility.
