That is correct, but the performance change at high altitude will make you think otherwise.
A nice cool day at sea level will help my planes perform at thier best. A hot humid day in the summer, not so good[:'(]

I would think this would make an awesome engine for my Sr. Telemaster. Something similar to the Zenoah 20 but with a better ignition.

TKG, I've flown at altitude many times, and yes the plane flies as though it were heavier at the higher altitude, but it's a matter of perception. The plane still just weights five pounds but acts and feels as if it were heavier, real weight vs percieved weight.

Anyone knows where this engine is manufactured as I suspect that RCS is just the supplier.

Proof that people who do not fly at altitude don't understand

Interesting the price on this engine is $225
You can get an RCGF 26 for $219
And you can also save up another week and get a 50cc from several others for a bout $60 more
Gas is the way to go Glow is on the way out
My experience with RC planes is that bigger is better, thats been my experience, bigger is easier to see and easier to fly
Oh man I love my DL 50

People have been saying that gas/petrol engines and large models will replace glow engines for well over thirty years now. It hasn't happened as yet.
I enjoy gas engines too, up to about 70cc, but am having trouble handling the larger models these days.
Besides, I grew up with glow engines. I love the smell, the mess and the sound. While I do love my gassers, I am still very much in love with glow engines. Lately I've been attracted to electrics. Just think - a whole new world to explore...

Yeah but Glow fuel wasn't $17 a gal yesterday like it is today and with the evolution of electric fewer and fewer glow planes fill the sky

""That's true. Glow fuel is getting too darned expensive.""
I'm going Gas/Glow mix 2 to 1 in my Super Tartan 44cc twin, it will be lighter than my MVVS 35 gasser, with no Nitro it sould only bring up the price of gas pre gallon only a few dollars,,
I would like to try this mix in my MVVS but prob wont..

Considering a Spark Plug costs on average $9.50 to $17.00 dollars yes it is cheap, and they don't foul.
I've looked into going gas and I'm not convinced that it's any cheaper to operate. EVERYTHING is more exspensive except the actual gasoline.

RE: have you seen this little baby,,
$22 bucks a gallon for glow fuel not to mention Window cleaner and several rolls of paper towels at a buck each if you are lucky.
Then you have to tote that damn starter and battery around like a ball and chain [:'(]
I used to love my Saito 180 but the Dl has nice raw power I like.
The ease of Gas is really the prime motivator for me . The cost benefit is just a nice plus.
