This baby is a winner.. that is if the price is the same as DL50 or at least very very near DL50..
BTW, JXF and Xoar are the same prop. JXF manufactures Xoar props with Xoar badge printed on it.

I have heard tha it will be under $400.00 with the pitts muffler and drill guide included.
Some of the Xoars that I have coming are the 3D versions.

RE: New CRRC Pro GP50R prototype 50cc
Sounds like it puts out more power than my ccrc50. I get 6900 rpm on zinger 22x8 in 17.5# bird it will pull vertical 180 to invert on take off. The first ignition module failed after 10 min of running. I think it was one of the problem ones. I now run the 2nd module on 2400 nimh 4.8 packs and after about 30 min of running the bat's still show 1700 ma remaining. So a full hr of flying on one charge is possible. The nimh do not pose any issues with high current draw on this motor.
I have about 2 hrs run time on mine now. The 20x10 prop turned about 7800 rpm and given Jody's input I put the larger prop to bring the rpm down.

Hi!
The MVVS 45cc (Evolution in the US) turns a 24x8 Mentz wooden prop at around 6600 rpm using the small MVVS cannister silencer (No 3206) and 95 okt fuel and 2,5% syntetic oil . 22x8 props on this engine is just too small. Rews too much.
Have you tried a 24x8 Mentz on the CRRC Pro???

Yes, you are talking about the ( old/current ) CRRC Pro GF50I, right?
I don't want people to get these numbers confused with the new CRRC GP50R that this reveiw is about.

I think with some run time and a pipe this engine would turn a 24 X 8 very well.
As far as giving an actual rpm number, I wouldn't know unless I tried one.

MVVS 45 is an incredible machine but the Menz prop is a little less load than JXF / Xoar props, and generate a little less thrust compared to JXF / Xoar. Still its a 45cc and can easily cope with 50cc engines on the market!
I wish the new CRRC50 had standart prop guide (4 screws) and an option of straight muffler for those who want it that way. DL50 is going for 315-319 USD, CRRC should go no more than 350 with a nice pitts muffler IMO.

RE: New CRRC Pro GP50R prototype 50cc
I got today one unit of first production batch.
Prop hub comes anodized in red, not blue as first prototypes.
Velocity stack is made of plastic (as others CRRCpro engines).
I'm impressed with quality and well machined engine.

RE: New CRRC Pro GP50R prototype 50cc
Did some more rpm test today.
Again, absolutely no needle change from first prop test session and no changes in between props.
I started of with the JFX 23 X 8 that I ran in the first session to see if everything was the same and matched the first sessions rpm's.
The JFX 23 X 8 turned 6880 rpm. ( same range as first test ).
Hawk 22 X 8 ( absolutely screamed ).... 7560 rpm.
Hawk 22 X 10.................................... 6630 rpm.
Hawk 23 X 8 ..................................... 6680 rpm.
Xoar 24-3DA ..................................... 6630 rpm.
Xoar 24 X 10 ..................................... 5680 rpm. ( too much load, but I had it to test so I did ).
I have a Goldberg Extra 330 that is going to be the test bed for this engine in the air.
I am all most finished with it.
I really would like to try a Mejzlik 23 X 8 and a Xoar 23-3DA on this engine.
To me it seems like the 23" will be the ticket, even thought that Xoar 24-3DA's numbers impressed me.
I will do some actual pull test with a scale with each prop as soon as the airframe is ready.

Will the Pitts muffler off the CRRC 50cc fit a DL50 ?

The muffler for the current production ( GF50I ) will not fit.

RE: New CRRC Pro GP50R prototype 50cc
I have a rainy day, so I am throwing the servos in the plane. I picked up my extensions and switches up @ the WRAM show yesterday.
I just quickly ran outside to do a quick rpm check switching to the CRRC pitts muffler. I only tried the JFX 23 X 8.
The stock DA/DL style muffler @ 6870 rpm.
Took that off and installed the pitts muffler.
The CRRC Pro pitts muffler @ 6720 rpm.
So running them back to back the pitts lost 150 rpm, but was much quitier then the DA/DL stock style muffler.
It is 45 degrees and rainy, humidity is a 89%, pressure @ 29.81, dew point @ 36.

RE: New CRRC Pro GP50R prototype 50cc
I just came inside from doing different prop rpm and pull test on eack prop.
I was actually shocked at the results, I was thinking the Mejzlik all the way.
These are actual rpm numbers and pull on the scale at the same time.
Using a digital fish scale and no needle changes between props.
Mejzlik 22 X 8.............. 7350 rpm @ 30 lbs. 12 oz. of pull.
Hawk 22 X 8.................7500 rpm @ 34 lbs. 12 oz. of pull.
Hawk 22 X 8 3D............6570 rpm @ 33 lbs. 9 oz of pull.
Hawk 22 X 10...............6600 rpm @ 32 lbs. 10 oz. of pull.
JFX 22 X 10..................6510 rpm @ 32 lbs. 12 oz. of pull.
JFX 23 X 8....................6700 rpm @ 32 lbs. 9 oz. of pull.
Hawk 23 X 8.................6600 rpm @ 33 lbs. 5 oz. of pull.
Xoar 24A 3D.................6300 rpm @ 31 lbs. 12 oz. of pull.
Xoar 24 X 10.................5700 rpm @ 32 lbs. 00oz. of pull.
To my surprise the top four in pounds of pull are HAWKS, with the top rpm and pounds of pull performer being the Hawk 22 X 8 with 7500 rpm and 34 lbs. 12 oz. of pull.
Sorry to say the most expensive and best looking prop ( Mejzlik ) had the least pounds of pull.
Well, I will see how it will perform in the air.
The test subject is @ a dry weight of 15 lbs. 6 oz.

RE: New CRRC Pro GP50R prototype 50cc
I did three flights.
I bought a 23 X 7 JC Super pro to do testing with.
The 23 X 7 turned @ 7450 rpm.
Low end, in the air was a little rich.
It was actually ripping the prop at wide open.
The wife had a real hard time with filming, she usally take great videos.
She was having a hard time with the sun, planes color, and the color of the sky, so there are on a couple short videos.
It was 53 degrees and 10-15 mph winds, and the winds were knocking the plane around for sure.
Top end was great and pull out is awsome, idle and transition are also great.
Lean low end up some to get rid of the burble and do some more flights.

The plane is in need of some repair, so While it is being done I figured I would break the engine down and see what CRRC has under the hood.
Here are some pictures.

Great machining and clean. looks like a very well made engine. The chinese are catching up fast.Only thing is they're all clones of the DL50 which is very similar to the venerable DA50- the progenitor of all clones!!

I saw in earlier posts that there were issues with the ignition modules, have they sorted that out yet? the motor looks nicely made will be interesting to see how they hold up

RE: New CRRC Pro GP50R prototype 50cc
OK, guys.
Sorry it has been a while.
There was a production issue, and that is what all of this prototype testing is all about.
The first batch of GP50R's had an engine case that was made of too soft of an aluminum.
CRRC was notified about the issue and promptly worked on fixing the problem.
They CNCed new engine cases out of hardened aluminum and sent it out.
I also went for a new plane for the engine.
I went with a RC league Yak.
Everything is complete and now ready for a maiden.
Engine is all back together, re timed and is running great.
It is down some rpm from my 1st testing ( old engine case ), but the lower end is all new ( bearings and seal ) and the outside temp went from 40 degrees and no humidity to 82 degrees and 81% humidity.
My 1st run of the reworked engine is 250 rpm lower then befor with the same prop, but like I said i believe newness and weather are the factors.
JC 23 X 7 super props @ 7200 with a stock DL muffler.
Here is a few shots of the new plane and tomorrow night when I maiden I will post some video.

Yep I flew three flights. It was some gusty winds.
I need a nice day to see what this bird actually feels like and to see what it can do.
I did get videos of it being bounced all aroud.
When I get it off the camera, I post some vids ( probally tomorrow ).
