Default Stupid Zenoah G20 question.

I'm considering the switch from glow to gas and am thinking of the G20 so forgive my ignorance but.... From looking at pics of the G20 it looks like the jug is bolted to the crankcase with 4 bolts....So my question is this: can the cylinder/jug be rotated 180deg so that the carb and exhaust are on the other side?

Probably if you also turn the piston 180 degrees.

Well, that brings me to the other question. Is the G20 piston flat? If it's flat then no turning would be necessary.

It has pinned rings to keep the ends out of ports. If you don't turn the piston then there is a very good chance that it will catch the end of a ring in a port and make expensive noises.

Yes it can.

The manual states you can rotate the cylinder, but you also need to rotate the piston.

Usually the most expensive noise a two stroke makes is sudden silence....

They line up OK. Before anybody gets bright ideas this is one of the VERY few engines you can do this with.
