Default Sachs engines

How to tell difference between 2.6 and 3.2 sachs motors. By looking at them.

The casting numbers are 44 ZN 18 W4

ORIGINAL: P40 Maniac

The casting numbers are 44 ZN 18 W4
That's a 3.2 Sachs.
Sachs casting numbers (if it is a Mahle cylinder) are:
40 - 2.6 ci
44 - 3.2 ci
47 - 3.7 ci
49 - 4.2 ci

Hey what voltage for the ingition 4.8 or 6.0 on this engine.

Hello
I have an old suspose to be, A&M/Sachs or Sachs Dolmar 3.7? (it still has some orange paint on the oem case)
How do i tell if it is a true 3.7 ?
The # on the cyl. is a 057/2A
It use to fly me Byron Pitts (it was a lead balloon)
I want to use it for my Ziroli AT6

i may be able to help train you since I've been an old fart for years. Anyhow I need a muffler for my Sachs 3.2 Any idea where I can get one?

Bisson Mufflers, J&A Engineering, and J-Tec. Look for a muffler for a Brison, Fox, Taurus, and First Place engine in your displacement.

I have an engine that has the following on the back of the cylinder: 45 ZN5 W4.

What size is this engine? Look slike its between a 3.2 and 3.7? I didn't know they made an in between size....
