RE: SYSSA 30CC GAS MADE IN USA
Much like Steve, I grew tired of the fuel tanks that come with most if not all of the ARFS. I have built a couple of tanks using Figi water bottles and really like them. The tank is clear, making it easy to see the tubing and clunk inside the tank. The bottles are really tough as well. One of the tanks I made up using a CNC machined cap purchased from Fox Mfg. (it is a 3 line cap) The other tank was made up using a fitting kit and cap from PSP Mfg. I like them both.
I am using 1/8 inch tygothane (purchased from McMaster Carr) I got this suggestion from MTK on this forum. His knowledge and background has found this material and I really like it. Nice and flexible, clear tubing. It goes on and stays on the nipples really well. Matt has been using it for a while now with no adverse effects showing up like the tygon.

RE: SYSSA 30CC GAS MADE IN USA
My Wife gave me the OK to move up to a 100CC plane this year. My Syssa is for sale.

I got tired of having minor leaks with the Sullivan type tanks so I switched to a B&B Specialties 16 oz tank. The fittings are installed in the tank by drilling holes where you want them and they are held in place with nuts for a leak proof fit. The fittings have large barbs to prevent fuel lines from slipping off..
I never paid attention to the dia. of the fuel tubing, I just have small, medium, and large. I use the medium on the 30cc engine since the fuel flow is so low.

Is that a Fiji water bottle type?
For anyone interested I've sourced nylon fittings for Fiji bottle tank assemblies. They are extremely light, tough as nails, durable, unaffected by gasoline and about half the cost of metal fittings. Send me a PM if interested

MTK - I don't think so, but it is similar. It is a bottle for sure. It is rectangular, short and wide comparedto the normal fuel tanks and it does have a screw on cap. it is not clear, it is frosted. The side walls are also about 1/16" thick, pretty heavy duty.

Hey BTW, for everyone who PM'd me about the nylon gas tank fittings, apparently my replies through RCU have all bounced back. Please email me directly at [email protected]
Here's what I am offering in the packages. If you want a separate fill line (second nipple) in lieu of a "Tee", fine, just let me know:
1 Bulkhead threaded fitting with nut and seal; 1/8"x1/8" nipples
1 Threaded nipple with nut and seal, 1/8"
1 'Tee", 1/8"x1/8"x1/8"

I installed my Syssa 30cc today only to find out I have no way of attaching my spinner. The propshaft only goes half way through the prop nut so I have no way to attach an adaptor. Then end of the propshaft is not tapped either so how are you guys attaching a spinner?

Hey Zippi,
Here is the adapter that I'm going to use...
http://www.truturn.com/cgi-bin/store...3a&ppinc=adapt
I may use a thinner washer so the jam nut has a few more threads to grip onto...

ahicks,
Yes, the jam nut tightens down on the prop nut to keep it secure and is also threaded for a spinner bolt. This adapter is designed for a four stroke engine that has the same thread size as the Syssa.

Looks nice but I don't have enough threads sticking out to use both of those. I'm looking at this one.

Yup, that's the one I'm talking about. The bottom of the nut and the washer have a taper to them - that's designed to do about the same thing a jam nut does.
