B&S 34cc model 21032: How to time valves?
Hi all.
I have the following B&S 4 cycle engine from a weed trimmer:
Model: 21032
Type: 0112 E1
Code: 0407212A
I would like to know if anyone has the service manual for this engine, or the procedure to set the valve timing. I see a hole on the plastic(!) cam, but can't find a corresponding mark on the worm drive to set TDC timing, or maybe the procedure is different for this type of engine?
The engine won't start, and has very little compression, some other 'mechanic' messed with it.
Thanks,
-Rohmell

Easiest thing I've done all day, http://www.briggsandstratton.com/mai...021032-0112-E1
It looks like they want you to throw it away if the valves need adjustment, they give specifications but no procedure. All you need to do is watch each valve close, rotate the engines crankshaft 180 degrees farther and adjust the valve, do the same for the other one. Done
