Default Motul 800 Oil (Road Racing Blend)

I've seen that Motul 800 oil has been used with good success. I bought a quart the other day and noticed it recommended a mix of 30:1, where many have been mixing it 50:1. After further review I found that most others had the off road blend, but mine is the road racing blend. The off road mix recommends 50:1 or leaner, but the road racing states 30:1. When I went to the Motul website I found that the manufacturer states you can lean the mixture by .5% if using it for "normal" applications. This means I could use it at 40:1, which is what I'm using now with my BelRay H1R. Am I safe at 40:1?

Anyone else use the Road Racing blend?
