Shame there is not actual details there.
anyone want to send them their credit card details and ask for warranty backup?
makes you wonder who is realy selling the engine.
I have not once heard anyone say thre is anything wrong with how the MT 70 performs If, When and While it is running.
The problems with them were 100% associated with sloppy factory / supply chain practices. Changing a crankcase, or any other part of the enngine for that matter, will not change those practices.
The real question is - CAN Tomy change those things? There are so very many out there who have experienced the negative answer to that in the past. IF Tomy changes those practices, He will have a winner on his hands. But we said that in the past with his 62, his 57, his 35 single and his 70 twin.
Tomy - you know what is required.
I guess I lived and learned! I cannot understand why he would blow people off with the new MT-76 coming out. It looks just like the latest case and bottom-end with the new cylinders....I just want a 4 bolt prop hub....
I don't understand why this brand is even talked about anymore. What most if not all of you don't seem to understand is that there is NO MT engine manufactory, there never has been. MT engines is Tomy Shen, that's all, one person. He buys surplus wholesale scooter parts, contracts with job shops to make odds and ends, contracts assembly labor with XYZ or the local elementary school whichever is cheaper. Everyone is paid by the piece so parts count is what's important not whether it runs or not. Tomy almost never sees the finished product before it's shipped to the customer, he definitely never sees it run before it's shipped to the customer.
When Tomy doesn't pay his suppliers or labor, they cut him off so he can't buy the parts to build engines anymore. Guess what happens then....NEW CRANKCASE, NEW CRANKSHAFT, NEW ENGINE MODEL, new suppliers, incompatible parts with the older models, can't get the parts for the older models because they "don't make them anymore" which is partly true because they won't make them anymore for Tomy because he owes them money.
New MT76 twin, laughable. It's a shame, wish it weren't so, but it's true.
Unfortunately that is 100% correct and even worse, MT is not the only brand that applies to.
At least by discussing a defunct MT, we aren't helping the ratings of SmallSpool and RickyDriveler trying to bump their ratings up.
CapitalB - don't take it to heart - You'll work it out eventually.
I have a question though
I have tried many oils in lots of different engines. Which one do you thing works best in an MT 70 and do we need to change oils if we switch from Futaba to JR servos for the throttle?
I think the servo throttle speed must play a part somehow as to which oil works best - but maybe not. Let me know your thoughts.
Yeah Steve some USED chain oil should be the best you can find, make sure it has some sand and a few wood chips in it also for the best results.
A I have got a BBQ sauce recipe that is really good.
B I have found a local supplier of some ready made sauces
C I have a new Pit on its way
D MT Engines ARE silly. They were so very close with some products but the need for a quick dollar regardless of the consequences made them really BAD news.
Next question - (And Blame CapitalB for this one)
If Coconut oil comes from coconuts, Olive oil come from olives, sunflower oil comes from sunflowers, peanut oil comes fom peanuts etc (ok - you get the drift now) WHERE DO THEY SOURCE THE BABIES TO MAKE BABY OIL?
I guess it is a huge industry in some 3rd world country - perhaps a little along the lines of the mares who are "farmed" for their urine to make some drugs. Could be in "interesting" job being one of the guys working in the baby factories I guess.
For Golf Balls - it could be this - get your GP to check it out

You never truly recover from being an MT owner. (That applies to a few other brands too). Once you have gotten one, you effectively have a "Halux valgus" on the wallet while you try to sort it out. Best way to fix that is with halux valgectomy - usually towards the junk pile.
you can take it for what it's worth but u guess you still can get the mt 70cc twin from here!!!http://www.sdshobby.net/mld70-70cc-t...ne-p-3827.html
