RE: RCAero JC Engines & YDA Engines
I forgot to tell you guys about the clunk I got from Henry when I was in Toledo. I finally found good use for it.
On the smaller tanks around 10oz. The yellow gas line is to stiff to let the clunk go to the bottom of the tank. In the past I used a stainless steel hex nut to weigh the clunk down. These clunks that Henry sells are just the right weight to do the job plus it has a filter built in. The price was so minimal that I don't even remember what they cost. I also forgot to take a picture of it and I'm not taking the tank back apart to do so. With the new 30cc planes coming out, you might find this info helpful.

I finally got the 28 mounted permanently on the Sbach. All the locktite and copper sealant have been applied.
Still have some finishing touches to apply to the plane then the danger starts. I get to fly it.[sm=lol.gif]

TOM, GOOD VIDIO OF THE SPRING LOADED CHOKE. Have a question.
My JC28 pulls my 17 lb STUKA very good. As I'm flying along the engine will give a coughonce. Is it too rich on the top side? Thanks, Billl Rogers

I'm not an expert on that. I just turn the needle one way and see if it improves or gets worse. A burble is usually Rich and a pop is usually Lean. Just have to experiment.

Yes Tom very nice video! The SBach is an awesome looking plane I look
forward to seeing the video of it fly as well!! The 28cc really seems to be
an great motor as well.
I haven't flown mine yet but it ran very well on the test stand so I have
no doubt it will perform as well in the air. I have been a bit concerned that
I have it on an 15+lb sport pattern plane though.
But It sounds good to hear that it pulls around a 17lb plane with no problems!
All I can say to that is WOW!!!

Hey Tom,
Really appreciated that video. You've helped me a bunch as I've put mine together. I've got a sport plane. Hoping for less than 15 lbs. It's a kit and it's sitting on the floor all taped together and begging me to finish it. I've got a few days. If I can dig up a camera I'll surely be asking for some input. I'm planning on using koverall and painting it, so it might be a while before it gets up in the air.
By the way...can someone tell me how I can delete that silly post I made a while back with the just the "x?"
Thanks again, and great looking plane. My wife is even getting to appreciate Tim's(?) video of the SBach and the 28.

Hey All
Don't be fooled by Tom saying that he isn't an expert.... he is... but he is a humble man. That is what makes him a great guy and friend. The SBach will fly beautifully in his hands too. In the meantime.. to keep you all interested
Here are some pics of Mike Wargo's 89" AJ Slick. This plane is running on the YD Aero 56cc engine. The video is here.

Mike is having a ball with the plane too. I am looking forward to seeing him at the Monster Plane in October.
Cheers
Henry

Hey Henry. Great vid from Mike.[sm=thumbs_up.gif] I want to be like Mike[sm=shades_smile.gif]
Seriously. I m glad to see a video of someone else flying the 56 besides me. Is there anyone else out there? That AJ Slick is an awesome plane. I got to see one in person flown by a 16yr. old young man from Ft. Wayne In. He actually got his a little lower then Mike. His dad payed for the plane. Oh to be young again.

Hey Michel
Thanks for the kind words... you too Tom!!!
The AJ Slick (Mike) hails from Florida. Flying season is just gettin' going there after a long hot summer.
Mr. Xoar Int'l (Steve Thomas)called me and he has a fella he is trying to get pics/videos from who is flying a 22 pound Cub on the JC 28cc. I am really interested in seeing that one! I will post it once I stop shaking my head.
Cheers

Hey Strangevil29....
The 60cc engines are done... we are only awaiting the cylinders now. Some tweaking was needed here and that delayed final production. Nevertheless, they are being finished and should be in house in the next 10 days and then they will be sent here. The 38cc is next in line. All is going well with this program, and we are looking for the end of the month. The 23cc is next in line right after that. I am talking with the factory most every day now. I am really excited about the new engines coming on line.
More pics coming in the next week...
Cheers

Piston,
Thanks for the quick reply. Just wanted a little info to keep me going on the waite. So, we could possibly be seeing them by the end of Sep.? Or, you might get them by then and then start testing them? The 38's that is.

Once the factory gets the engines finished they will be sent here for sign off, and then the engines will be put into the market place. It will not take long to do this. This will be done for all of the new ones.
Cheers

Got the maiden in on the new Redwing Sboch with the JC-28. All I can say is that the 28 was wasted on The Cub. I belongs in the Sboch.
One pleasant surprise was that the RPM went up to 8,630 by the 3rd flight. Xoar 18-6. Cause I knew you would ask.
Here is the video of the maiden. http://www.youtube.com/user/tseres1?feature=mhw4
